Puentes (Bridges)
Puentes (Bridges) was a project focused on both the healing and psychosocial well-being of immigrants, asylees, and refugees, as well as providers serving immigrants in New Mexico. Funded by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, IWES was able to support the creation of a supportive, Trauma-Responsive (TR) ecosystem in New Mexico built on local assets expanding the infrastructure for TR services. IWES helped build bridges to healing by increasing organizational capacity of TR care, as well as creating media pieces to amplify and humanize the untold stories of community members in New Mexico and El Paso, TX.
