CHC PROGRAM COORDINATOR

IWES designed the Collective for Healthy Communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to address the post-disaster psychological recovery needs of survivors, utilizing a community-based and collective approach. The CHC program focuses on: 1) promoting wellness and mental health for school age children and
their families; 2) collaborating with local community leaders in education and, health and community
building to address multi-faceted approaches to support emotional healing and resiliency, racial
healing and civic engagement. The Program Coordinator will support all phases of the planning, implementation and evaluation of the program. S/he will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day program operations, plans, and schedules to ensure effective and efficient program implementation.
